Group Visits to Newlands House
If you are planning a group visit to Newlands House please enquire with our team. We are able to arrange refreshments, private tours and additional excursions as well as helping to organise the logistics and travel for your group.
We have blue badge parking available outside the front of the gallery. Please allow 24 hours’ notice prior to your visit so we can ensure this is available for you.
We have ramps for the entrance way into the ground floor and garden of the gallery. Newlands House is a historic and listed building, unfortunately at present we do not have lift to access the first floor, we are investigating options with specialists to try to improve accessibility whilst maintaining the historic fabric of the building. We are happy to offer video walk throughs for the time being.
There is some seating available on the ground floor of the gallery, if you may require a seat on the first floor please let us know in advance of your visit.
Toilets & baby changing
There is a multi-gender toilet located on the first floor, this does not have wheelchair access or baby changing facilities. There is a public toilet a short distance from the gallery which has disabled access.
Though we are limited by our historic premises we are always looking for other ways we can be inclusive and offer a memorable experience for our guests. If your requirements are not addressed on this list please do get in touch with our team at Newlands House: firstname.lastname@example.org
We have taken measures to ensure the safety of visitors and staff at Newlands House during the Covid pandemic.
Petworth is the quintessential English market town with historic charm nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Petworth’s characterful houses, independent shops and historical buildings make this market town a must-visit destination in the south of England. As the cobbled streets of Petworth wind to an end you will find yourselves in the heart of the South Downs National Park, an area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1966.
Within the town itself you will find boutique shops, antique dealers, fine dining and artisan food shops. Upon your visit to Newlands House, we encourage you to take some time to explore the town and nearby sights.
After exploring a modern and contemporary art exhibition at Newlands House, why not contrast your visit with a tour of the magnificent Petworth House and its Capability Brown park. Petworth House presents the finest art collection in the care of the National Trust, including landscapes and seascapes by Turner and by Constable, and portraits by Van Dyck and by Holbein. For groups, we can arrange visits by appointment.
