Great philanthropists: who funds our museums and why? with Sarah Hilliam

Sarah is Director of Development at the National Portrait Gallery. She specialises in securing major gifts for transformational museum projects and has worked with many of the world’s preeminent arts philanthropists. Her experience spans fundraising, programming and education. Sarah was formerly Head of Major Gifts and Campaigns and acting Deputy Director of Development at the Royal Academy of Arts and is a speaker for University College London and Sotheby’s Institute. Sarah graduated from the University of St Andrews with an MA Hons in Art History and International Relations and an MLitt in Museum Studies. She has been a Trustee of Art360 Foundation since 2018.
